... thank you for going above and beyond more than just teaching us this difficult language. The following courses are available On-Site or Webinar Management Overview: (4 hours) This overview will define the quality, cost and delivery benefits of making GD&T an integral part of the Product Development/Delivery Process. Print Reading: (16 hours) For anyone who needs to understand the meaning of drawing, multi-view relationships, symbology and conventional dimensioning and tolerancing methods. Fundamentals of GD&T: (24 hours) Learn the symbols, terminology and rules of Geometric Tolerancing as prescribed in the ASME Y14.5 Standard being taught. The GD&T Hierarchy will be used to explain the relationship between tolerances and how to most economically apply the concepts. Classes available in accordance with the ASME Y14.5M-1994, -2009, & -2018 Standards. ASME Y14.5-2009 to 2018 Update: (12 hours) This training will walk you through the changes found in the Y14.5 2018 Standard including: new symbols, removed symbols, revised concepts, rearranging of sections, and more. Inspecting Geometric Tolerances: (16 hours) This course will help give guidelines for selecting the most appropriate inspection method for a part feature. You’ll gain an understanding of design principles to produce low cost, functional gages. Method of practical datum selection as well as guidelines for using modifiers will be discussed, along with an overview of gaging equipment capabilities. Designing with GD&T (Applications of GD&T): (16 hours) Sharpen your Geometric Tolerancing skills to better use GD&T, improve datum selection and create robust designs. Advanced concepts on the application of profile and position, along with fixed and floating features will be discussed. Learn to properly select datum features and allocate tolerances. Simultaneous requirements, composite & profile tolerancing, and boundary calculations will also be discussed. Tolerance Stack Ups: (16 hours) This advanced training teaches how to study the cumulative effect of part tolerances in order to reduce product costs. You’ll learn how to establish part tolerances, perform 2-D analyses of designs, use geometric tolerances in stack ups, and much more. Numerous assemblies will be studied. A workshop to apply tolerance stack-up analysis techniques to student supplied problems may be included. Drawing Preview: Nearly all companies require a drawing review be conducted by the various disciplines that will use the drawing. To avoid unnecessary drawing activity and expensive changes to drawings and CAD models, drawing “previews” rather than “reviews” should be held. A drawing preview involves bringing the team together to discuss critical parts and part features before any dimensions or tolerances are applied to the drawing or CAD file. Public Webinars: Live instruction via a Webinar with participants from different companies. Webinars provide a cost-effective option when training for 10 or less is needed.
