Print reading is a mission-critical skill for Department of Defense (DoD) vendors and contractors, where precision, compliance, and clear communication are essential to supporting national defense programs. Tec-Ease’s Print Reading for Today course meets the needs of defense manufacturing, covering key topics such as print dimensioning, assembly drawings and fasteners, and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) in alignment with the ASME Y14.5 standards.
Students will develop proficiency in sketching, multiview drawings, dimensioning rules, third-angle projection, holes and fasteners, assembly drawings, assembly tolerances, and feature control frames. This foundation equips DoD suppliers to accurately understand technical data packages (TDPs), select appropriate views, understand drawing notes and title blocks, and calculate dimensional limits—ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance across defense-related production.
